It's been a crazy few weeks. I've been going on so many auditions I haven't had time to keep the journal up. Which has been great.
Here's the top ten events in a nutshell over last few weeks ...starting with the bad news -
10 - The action independant I worked on, the producer screwed me out of the reel and dailies. So, that work was for null. I thought the fact he couldn't spell was the worst that could happen with that.
9 - This whole agency thing is getting really petty and I've had to facilitate nasty arguments where the actor who I've been working really hard for over the past year (that can't book a single job I send them on) throws the blame to me. It will hit them where it counts eventually. Repoire, hard work, and respect is everything in this business.
8 - I rescued a cat from my neighborhood whose breaking the bank, but he is SO adorable and in need of a good home.
7 - Got called for a Lucille Roberts commercial 2 weeks ago where I got to work out in a 90 degree studio
6 - Auditioned for Gorilla Rep's upcoming production of "Hamlet" as the Player Queen
5 - Attended a Law & Order workshop where I got the chance to audition for the casting directors. I thought I gave a good read, but they didn't provide much feedback or a direction they wanted me to see me take the scene.
4 - Got called last week for a Paramount Picture feature film "The Untitled World Trade Center Project" for the role of the homeless addict. I had a role in the dirt before my audition. That was fun! It was a great audition. They laughed the whole time...I think it was supposed to be funny.
3 - Officially last night have been cast in my next independant project "Mercer" as the lead Vivian. It's a film but the genre is very primetime drama so I get to be somewhat extreme. Rehearsals start this Saturday and we shoot next month.
2 - Next week should be FINALLY after 3 years getting my footage from the two independants I shot out in Long Island.
1 - Attending a Bunny Behavior Conference this sunday up in New Rochelle. I am syked for this!
