Hi Folks:

Sorry I haven't been able to catch everyone up. It's been a bit crazy lately.

First, the best news...I got cast in an independent "Focus" as Michelle, a frustrated painter whose husband is blind. My co-star is actually the guy who I beat up in the film (linked through quicktime) on my website. Apparenly we still have open issues. :) In any case, my buddy Paul and I will be working together again on this film which we get paid rehearsals to do in front of graduate class. We shoot April 8th and 9th.

Second, I spent yesterday up in the Catskills (gorgeous, mountainous New York) at a Line-Dancing weekend. It's actually the entire weekend, but I could only go for the day. For this Tim Gillis Line Dancing Weekend, www.timgillisband.com, dance instructors flew in from all over the world to teach either their own choreography or dances they love. This is the cream of the crop here. Ofcourse my line dancing mentor, Rona Kaye (Pure Country), was asked to teach because she's fabulous and Pure Country's DJ, Alan Kohn was asked to DJ because he rocks the house. www.purecountrynyc.com. We had such a blast!! It was my first line-dancing weekend and everyone was sooo wonderful. The only thing that ruined the weekend was the bus rides. The earliest bus left NY at 8:30am and the latest returned at 4:15pm. So, I missed the first 2 hours of lessons, the last 2 hours, the Saturday night Shindig, and the Midnight Swim. Aside from all of that, it was very much worth it. I finally got to meet all of these wonderful instructors I only see on paper. I learned "Brushwood Cha Cha" and "Shake, Rattle, and Roll" from the UK's very own Alison Biggs, the freakishly long (64 counts) but beautiful "Sunset in your eyes" from another UK fabulous instructor Peter Metelnick, "Mandolin Dreams" by New York's own Bryan McWherter, and my personal favorite "Bop the B" and "Simplemente" from the line dancing queen herself...Rona Kaye. This was such an amazing experience that I can't wait for the next one and extend it into the weekend...and not during a work weekend.

Finally, a word on roaches. Many of you know, I keep a sanitary and clean house. Stop laughing, mom. Anywho, I walked into the kitchen this morning and saw the holder where I keep...certain hormone pills...was swarming with baby roaches. Okay, not only did that fly into the incinerator faster than you can say candy, but no where else in the kitchen had a visit from these vile creatures. Believe me, I checked. There are cookies in the fridge, a sugar jar on the counter, and chocolates above the microwave...I'm not a junkie just trying to prove a point. With all this around, these babies chose to be next to the little pink pills. Hmmmm. Guess they're tired of winter too.
