Just a quick note about writing and then I promise to resume with the topic. For my screenwriting friends, the deadline for Final Draft 's annual contest is today(6/15/06). Okay, so...auditions. I was contacted earlier this week by this guys whose shooting his film out in Pennsylvania. He wants to see me for the lead...fortunately for me...the character that dies. Why do I always get the weird ones. Anyway, he mentioned if cast, there is not only no compensation for the job, but no reimbursement for travel or lodging and the part shoots for close to a month. So...I'd be paying to make his movie? Do I even know this guy? Seriously where do people get the nerve. Keep in mind, he advertised for New York actors. Needless to say...I wasn't interested. I just got back from another audition about an hour ago, which was a lot of fun! This is MY role...the cowgirl that gets to fight. I'm so excited. So, we'll see. They really liked the audition and I was one of the few women they were actually seeing for the part. They were actually reading men for the roles. It would be a nice change to play a grounded, earthy character being that I've been playing a lot of victims and psychopaths as of late. I could use the break. :)

Everything else is going great. I got one of my movie's "Macey" last week and had some selective screenings. It's funny, I gave my friends at the office an autographed headshot (okay, because they asked not because I'm pretentious) and all of them put it up in their cubes. I have people coming up to me that I have NO CLUE who they are wanting a picture. I'm getting a little freaked out. :) Anywho, going to see Gretchen Wilson at Radio City tonight with my girl, Sofia. I'm SOOOO excited!!!

Other than that, I could really use some sleep.
