For this past week, this show has been one drama after another and last night everything pretty much came to a grinding halt. If anyone showed up to today's performances expecting to see me, I AM SO VERY SORRY. I communicated as quickly as possible.

Hence, here comes the vent...

This past Saturday, I auditioned for this show and at some point, I THINK I was cast. At that point, we were supposed to get calls to begin rehearsals. By mid-week, they contacted me to come to rehearsals ready to perform two shows on Saturday. In the midst of the two rehearsals I had to prepare before Saturday, I'm told in a very curt email that I am required to bring atleast two people to every single show. This is what we call a membership company...the ad's in the local trade paper that no matter who you are...Kris chooses to skip. I don't have to pay people to see my work. I have serious reservations about the concept of "membership companies." This would be a whole other blog. Regardless, I worked exceptionally hard on this monologue and if any of you have read Samuel Beckett...then you'll understand my issues with this piece. It at the very least needs more than two rehearsals. People are paying money to see your work. It should be a story worth telling not something a bird threw up. In any event, watching the other actors in rehearsal, they are all working just as hard and are very good. If you'd like to support them, please by all means. I'm sure they need more people to meet their quota.
