Soooo....

Since LAST YEAR, when my lazy booty signed off, I've officially returned with a slew of hot info which will be coming shortly in future posts.

In a nutshell...

- I'm still residing in lovely Kensington, Brooklyn being serenaded daily by doormen and construction. Good times.

- I sorta learned beginners HTML so my stuff looks rather cool now.

- The pool on my roof opens this Monday and we're expecting RAIN! Wooo!!!

- I've established my all-female theater company which is running like gangbusters. The Shakespeare's Sister Company...my heart and soul. In honor of Virginia Woolf's birthday, we had a literary celebration and performed a staged reading of Edna O'Brien's award winning stageplay "Virginia." It was a tremendous event!

- The SSC's latest ventures are our Six-Week Bloomsbury Group Summer Theater Campon June 15th! It's going to be smashing! All workshops meet in the heart of Columbus Circle every weekday at the Shetler Theater Studios from June 15th—July 31st. Each group will engage in a final performance and graduation party on July 31st at Theater 54! A great celebration for friends and family to enjoy!

- The SSC is opening its doors to all women who are interested in getting their voices heard. We dedicate a weekly blog honoring the feminine passion. The focus of this blog is not to elaborate on our careers, but what really drives us. Career, family life, marriage...these all make up some of our story. Our mission is to get to the core of what makes us women. This has been a fascinating experience. If you're interested in sharing your story, become a SSC Sister!

- In Just a few weeks, I've been invited to speak at the International Virginia Woolf Conference "Woolf and the City"! I'll be joining fellow panelists Susan Sellers, author the new novel Vanessa and Virginia, and Dr. Ruth Gruber, feminist and activist and the author of Virginia Woolf: The Will to Create as a Woman. Ms. Katherine Lanpher, host of Barnes and Noble’s acclaimed Upstairs at the Square, will moderate the discussions. The idea of the panel which I find fascinating is they wanted to represent someone who write about Virginia Woolf (Ms. Sellers), someone who met her (Dr. Gruber) who also wrote her dissertation on Mrs. Woolf, and finally someone who portrayed her theatrically...Me. :) So very excited. If you're around Lincoln Center on June 6th around 4pm, you should drop by and bring an inhaler. I get weary around crowds.

- Other than that, the SSC is under review for a few awards. I've submitted to a few playwriting fellowships which I would be THRILLED to be a part of any of them.

- Last, but certainly not least, the love of my life...my furry bunny is still doing fabulous. He's a bit grumpy at the moment as we're both preparing pretty harshly for bikini season, but he's still a joy. It's been a tremendous 7 years together and he's been an amazing companion.

Drop me a line. Oh, I'm also on facebook, twitter, linked in...I don't know. I just keep signing up for things.

Would love to hear from you, peeps!

Ciao for now.
