things change quickly here. one minute, it's sunny and a little humid, the next minute, storm clouds roll in.



as soon as the sun disappeared, and the wind began whipping, cc and i ran outside, me with my camera in hand.

within seconds, the temperature dropped ten degrees, and we both stood in the front yard watching the clouds blow and swirl overhead.

i'm snapping as fast as i can. changing the light adjustment to catch the grey nuances between black and white.

"i know, i'm weird" i say as i walk, lift the camera to the sky and snap, snap, snap.

she laughs, "me too"

eyes to the sky, we're both enjoying the wind rushing through our hair, the sudden change in temperature, as we wait for rain to begin falling and the resulting earthy smell that always follows.

"i love storms" she says.

"i do too" i tell her.

we share not a drop of blood, and yet, we are so similar.

and as quickly as it came, it was gone.
