i had wanted to go into st. augustine to spend the morning. i thought maybe i could get some cool shots of z and i around the beach, on the pier and by the lighthouse. but i woke up today and of all things, it was raining.

z says "don't worry, we'll go visit another time." to which i thought...wow, maybe new year's day!

on past holidays we always ate around 3, but i decided this year, we'd eat around 6ish. my green beans are done, my turkey is cooking (slowly) and the dumplins will be the last thing i do and they take thirty minutes. it's just the ole waiting game.
