2008-07-19 11:13 PM I just saw this ad on... facebook...ok, so i'm whoring myself out to facebook...on the plus side, i'm connected with my family (in which my one nieces says the apocalypse is upon us because her mom signed up...at my request, i might add...and then posts on her(my sister's) wall "the internet just got cooler" lol...) and i'm finding long lost high school buddies...those folks i did actually connect with.
at any rate, one of the ads they show us social networking whores is that tom cruise's iq is 94 (they want us to take a test and compare...by the way, sharon stone blows us all away...she is in the 160's as is James Woods). add to that, i just saw an advertisement that says the average iq is 100...and so really? i thought that 94 was 4 points above the baseline for retarded (oh excuse me "mentally challenged"?) maybe i'm misinformed, i probably am...it's probably more like 70. that seems to be the baseline for everything (including add/adhd, meaning if you score 70 on their "am I add/adhd? test" then you are) however, a few years ago, i had my iq tested. i did so well that despite on disability, the state was willing to foot the bill for me to go to college AND pay for me up to a Master's in any subject I desired. My iq, you might ask? 135...that's right. now, i'm not bragging, i'm really not, that is not the point of this post...but given cruise's outbursts about how "psychology is not a science" "you haven't done the research" it really seems like he is truly coming from a place of ignorance. and the amount of anger he expressed, is usually a sign of someone who can't rationally come up with a valid argument. there, i said it! i did! cruise used to be on my "to do list" that list ala friends where if you ever came across this person in real life, your mate would forgive you "doing them" not so anymore. I have lost all respect for him and I have to say it happened a long time before he took on Matt Lauer on the Today Show. that incident was just the nail in the coffin. I mean I was stunned not only at how angry he got, but how misinformed and brainwashed he was. however, those who get the most angry are in fact usually the most ill-informed. and finding out that his iq is only in the low 90's..ok, call me a snob. then i am. it is only those so desperate for approval that fall pray to cults. the less intelligent, the more neglected, the more "looking for love and approval" well...history is littered with corpses from such folks... and I will say here and now, that scientology is a cult. Spaceships and aliens? lol... ok, not so far off from traditional religions, but...uh, yeah, exactly... Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
