2008-10-02 10:43 PM I am Who I am (vp debates...you've been warned) *lord a mercy, I'm turning into a radical. I seriously need to find an outlet for all this anger on this subject. the next sound you hear maybe just very well be my head exploding
Well, it's been widely reported that the McCain camp didn't have much faith in Palin especially after the Couric interview where she appeared to be the airhead most of us (with any sort of intellect) thought she might be (well, those of us not so indoctrinated with the "vote republican, think never" policy) They (the McCain camp) put stringent "rules" upon this debate...the FOX guy even pointed out several things she was blatantly wrong in stating....and in the words of another FOX pundent (yes, a FOX right wing pundent)the bar was set pretty low. He was thrilled it came out even...yeah, even, just like our educational system who graduates students when they shouldn't...that's even. So basically, we dumbed down the debates like we've dumbed down our educational system...hey...GO US! I kept waiting for Biden to go off on her...only...that wasn't allowed with these imposed McCain rules. Surprisingly, Palin held her own...'cept she constantly referred to whatever piece of paper was on her podium. Most of the time, you could tell she was "hitting those talking points." And she was constantly looking down to read from said piece of paper. Could I be the only person who noticed that? That she constantly looked down and seemingly read something already written for her? Am I the only thinking person in this country? Really? Not really so for Biden. Occasionally, he did look down, but not like Palin. Once again, the (supposed) "liberal media" caved in. They caved in to McCain...yeah, that's "liberal media" for you. Too bad...we haven't had access to Palin, the McCain camp has been too fearful of what she might say. So they hand-fed her a bunch of "facts" (and I used the term loosely) and she comes out smelling like a rose. Only...most of America doesn't know, or don't care, or deny that the McCain camp orchestrated the debate to their own means. I mean if you dumb down a debate to people who have been through a dumbed down educational system...what do you get except, dumbed down citizens... seems to me this system is much more effective and dangerous than socialism (or communism) could ever hope to accomplish or ever hope to be. The real axis of evil could only wish they'd thought of this. Dumb down your citizens and everything else will fall into place. yes, and I'll say it, Mussolini's fascism is alive and well in America! And we are Rome about to fall! guess what, no longer are the sane people in this country the... Read/Post Comments (10) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
