2009-06-20 2:12 PM when it rains, it pours. those of my peeps who know me, know one of my favorite things is to look for the aluminum lining. my motto, my creed, my creetto...find the positive in every negative situation.
sometimes when you spend your life looking at the half full glass, well, sometimes it is indeed simply half empty. what good is the power of positive thinking when everything negative exponentially builds upon itself. lol...pretty fancy, in depth talk just to say, first my battery goes, next my car is still complaining about something, either battery or starter or alternator related, and now, now...flat tire. i'm half asleep, in need of caffeine so i stroll nonchalantly out to my big brown beast, get in, start it, put it in reverse and oye, something's wrong, something doesn't feel right. i make it three feet in the parking lot and realize i shouldn't go any further. when i get out of the car...yep, flat back tire (on the driver's side, how did i not notice it? probably something to do with half asleep and in need of caffeine) soooo, in the wake of "when it rains, it pours" comes the aluminum lining...at least my neighborhood peeps look out for me. sam's husband, nick, is willing to switch out flat tire with the donnut, and downstairs neighbor scotty is willing to drive me and loan me money until weds for a junkyard replacement. (but i have to go to church with him tomorrow. bless his heart, he's trying so hard to save my soul, i'm just afeared that he's 20+ years too late...however, even that has an aluminum lining...free post-service lunch) am i good at locating aluminum linings or what? sometimes, however, i just wish i didn't have to look for them in the first place.
