wow! i've had quite a few posts on facebook that i didn't expect. to my closest buds (and i hope you know who you are) i'm humbled and many, many thanks to you all.

to those who are on the fringe, well, thanks just as much.

i was first serenaded with sam about 8:30 this morning with the happy birthday tune.

i heard from my favorite gal in alaska. offered a great gift from my saint louie friend. and showered with love from all my other internet friends and even a few close to home (special gift from two of them.) i had to deal with sheriff's deputies, a new yorker and an emo mom, i had a group stand around and sing happy birthday to me on the patio...but still...but still, really, all in all, one of the best birthdays i've had in a long time.

it's nice when people appreciate you for who you are, not who they want you to be.

btw, lisa, i did get chocolate. i like the not so sweet bittersweet (and it was organic) yet my friend didn't like it, so yes, i had chocolate on my birthday (i for one LOVE IT! what is wrong with these people?)
