2010-04-23 3:18 AM It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood my friends, traci and larry, had their electric shut off. it's actually been quite refreshing. we've spent the last two nights talking for hours by candlelight. it's been a great reminder of how much technology has impeded on the simplest of things...conversation.
i had my internet shut off day before yesterday. z blew a gaskit, but was too lazy to take care of it himself. so yesterday i rode the bus, with my friend, larry, to the brighthouse place. luckily for us, brighthouse is a half a block from the river. from the river to the ocean is only about two miles so we have water on both sides of us, hence the barrier island thing. the river is literally viewable from the brighthouse payment center. at the end of the street, there are condos with a nice little gazebo in between that overlooks the banana river (mr. jamiaca and i took photos there once.) larry was wanting to catch the bus back immediately, but i insisted that we take a few mins to stop and enjoy the cool river breezes. it was glorious! and larry was appreciative that i made him do it. i'm always right!
