This morning LB and I watched the Space Shuttle launch together. We sat side by side on Phil's and my bed and watched. He sat there quietly watching for about 4 minutes (which for him is amazing!). We talked about the shuttle and about going into space. He doesn't quite get it, he said they were going up to get some space.

I seemed like he did get the importance of the launch as he really did sit there with me to watch it.

I just checked and the Space Shuttle Columbia was destroyed Feb. 1, 2003, just 10 days before LB's birth. So this is the first launch since his birth.
