General Update and Words read

OK, so it's been a while. Sorry. Things are busy, and LB is busy too.
He's started kindergarten which he LOVES. He's learning a lot too. Academically he's a shining star, socially/interactively he's working on it. One on one or in small groups he's fine, but as the group of kids gets bigger, he disengages more and more-not a big shock given mom and dad, but still something to work on.
His teachers seem to enjoy having him in class, and his PE teacher told me that he's athletic, which I was sort of surprised. But I have nothing with which to compare so maybe his is.
He's still loving playing with numbers. Our latest game is - I'll say a number and you tell me what other number added to it makes 100. Then HE expanded it to 2, 3, or 400. I'm told that a colleague's son is doing this in 2nd or 3rd grade right now.
He is reading, and usually enjoys it; he does still love to have books read to him as well. I have nothing to compare it to, but I am often amazed by what he can read.
Tonight, he read the word "atmosphere" totally correct without any help from me, I was pretty amazed and pleased. Each time he reads to me, he seems to be getting better and better, and he has to sound out fewer and fewer words.
