As some of you know, I did devise a restaurant guide for Bouchercon. (Click on "My website" up above.) But -- note the title of this blog -- I forgot a few places.

The Brewer's Art is a mile north of the hotel, according to Google. I don't go there often because it makes me feel old, but it has outstanding beers. They also want you to know that they do not and have never made their fries in duck fat. Ever since they set the record straight on that, I have been longing for fries in duck fat.

Bicycle is in South Baltimore, too far too walk. I tend to overlook it because reservations are a must, and my household is a little weak on dinner plans that require reservations. I haven't been in at least a year, but I know I always like the tuna tartare, and the lobster ravioli.

ETA: I don't think I mentioned Tapas Teatro, either, but it occurs to me -- it's really accessible via Light Rail (from Howard Street to the Penn Station stop). And, because it's one block north of the train station, it would be easy to find a taxi back. I was there tonight and our party sampled roasted eggplant, an arugula salad with heirloom tomatoes, albondigas and grilled shrimp. Tapas Teatro has its own organic farm, so the produce is unusually good.

Plus, I once saw Anne Tyler in Tapas Teatro, but decided not to bug her.
