So this is going to have to be another short entry, 'cause I'm just not up to much right now. I'm delighted to announce that I am now the proud owner of a 2005 Prius (in white, soon to have pink details), which I drove home yesterday.

And thank goodness I had borrowed Jed's Prius while he was in Scotland for WorldCon, because driving it was easy and familiar and kind of a no-brainer. This was good because I didn't have much of a brain. I thought I might be coming down with a cold, and by last night it was clear that I wasn't just coming down with one, I was in full-blown cold mode.

Today I feel like crap, pretty much, all congested and feverish and achey from too much time in bed (not flu achey, I don't think), plus stumbly and confused. It's been all I could do to stick a couple of organic russets in the microwave. I did manage to use a knife without injuring myself, a feat of which I am proud.

And now I'm going to go see if I can make my new DVD player work or if I just have to watch movies on my laptop. And then I think it's going to be more sleep.

P.S. I love my couch! And it came just in time -- there's nothing like a comfy couch when you're sick.
