OK, just got my story back, with comments, even. Which is very nice, considering. He classified it as a "woman-in-distress" story and said he was just "too jaded" for it. Woman? Distress? None of the distress was by the 'woman'. I don't get it. Neither did he, apparently. Sending it out one more time, then calling it for an edit. Either something isn't being put across well or someone's not sharing their drugs. I'm totally blown for writing this evening.

What distress?

Currently Reading: tried "The Palace of Dreams". Got to page 20. Note to self: never read anything that's been through 2 different translations. In this case, from Albanian to French to English. Why not from Albanian to English? I don't know. Reading "Strangers on a Train" now.

Recommend: "The Bonesetter's Daughter". Good writing, thin plot.
