This is the Age of Information, right? I can go online and find things about the mating of beetles on islands I've never heard of. I can buy weird food items and read reviews on same. If I want to purchase native clothing from foreign countries, I darn well can. If I want to hear a radio program from the '40's, no problem.

So why can't I bloody well find more than 1 myth (abbreviated version of the flood telling) for any of the native peoples of Tierra del Fuego? C'mon! I'm looking at bibliograpies mentioning previous works or items in small library holdings. I'm betting most of the books are out of print. I mean, really. I can read the entire text of the Popol Vuh online. Why not this?

BTW, if you've never heard of Jeremy Buttons, it's an interesting story. Ran across him while reading The Voyage of the Beagle. Way to kidnap native children, Capt. Fitzroy. We've definitely come a long way since then. Mostly. I hope?
