I'm all for religious sensitivity and whatnot, but could someone tell me how the easter bunny is a Christian thing? Anyone? Is it not an older sign of Spring, with the weird making nests for the rabbit thing tradition and whatnot? Apparently, St. Paul's city hall removed an easter bunny and a sign saying "Happy Easter" because it might offend some non-xians. While I get that Easter is now a religious thing, the rabbit isn't. For it to have a religious theme, it'd have to have an image of Jesus' empty grave or his ascending to heaven or whatnot. Next thing you know, Santa Claus will be an xian thing... *sigh* Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
