2005-04-24 2:51 PM Please stop snowing... Mood: Grumpy Read/Post Comments (0) |
April 24, 2005
Well, it all went to hell. The morning forecast claimed 5.5 inches of snow in our area, and it's been snowing all day. I went out and shoveled. Heart attack snow, I call it. Wet, heavy crap with a two-inch layer of slush as the bottom. Laid-back weekend. Leanne's finishing painting the kitchen. Hanging out, pissing about the weather, walking the dog, reading, watching TV. We rented Flight of the Phoenix and watched that Friday. Disappointing. There is zero backstory on the characters. I have no idea why they did it this way, but you end up not knowing whath makes any of the characters tick. weird. Talked to a good friend of mine, Sue, last night, and her life is ping-ponging around career-wise. She's doing a lot of work with her canine-sniffing dogs, and she's a toxicologist and is getting into forensic consulting and doing work on rotting bodies with the Department of Homeland Security and veterinary/agriculture terrorism work. I thanked her for always staying one step ahead of my novel research needs. Best, Mark Terry Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
