Overall, you folks that weigh in on subjects here are quite polite. However, I've posted some comments on other blogs only to be attacked for one thing or another, and I have to say, this is going a long ways toward me considering the ending of my existence in the blogosphere. I've been attacked for merely suggesting that, "yes, you can make a living as a freelance writer," and questions on the state of my lifelihood, suggesting great skepticism about it. To which I can only shrug and say, "Well, who needs this shit?" Compared to some other attacks I see, mine have been quite mild, but really, who needs it? I had hoped to actually be of assistance in some small way to aspiring writers by providing thoughtful, useful information. Time to take a step or two back and re-evaluate.
