This Writing Life--Mark Terry

Well, these Rotary Club talks are tiring. There were somewhere between 50 and 70 people and I thought they were receptive to the talk, though for one reason or another I don't think it went as well as I usually wish it did. That's not to say it was bad, just since I do so much off the top of my head it felt a little unorganized this time. Still, they seemed to like it and I sold 7 books.

I managed to get in an interview this afternoon for an article I'm writing about structured cabling (don't ask) and was told about a type of certification in the business known as RCDD, which stands for Registered Communicationis Distribution Designer, though everybody in the industry just refers to it as Real Cool Data Dude.

Gee, I kind of wish I had a cool acronym like that after my name.
