My wife Mary was up earlier than I was this morhning. When I woke up she told me that it was on the news that Coretta Scott King had died.

I don't think many would have known about Coretta if she hadn't been married to Martin Luther King Jr. That would have been a shame for was remarkable in her own right. She has worked and spoken for the rights of all people most of her life. Her example is one of many for me that push me not to be complacent, remind me of how far there is yet to go, and give me hope.

She will be missed, but I am grateful for her life.
