The priorities are askew

Today I am at work. I am trying to figure out how to do a pivot table in Excel. It's annoying because there is SO much about Excel I still don't know. I want to be a guru and get over this mountainous, Everest-proportioned learning curve.

Last night I should have been at work. But I was in my brainstorming phase. Brainstorming is a powerful word. Too powerful, I'd argue, for what it actually amounts to when I brainstrom. So anyway, I was brainstorming questions to ask this community gardens lady I needed to phone back. And I was making lemon cupcakes. Why? Because, I volunteered to do it. But they aren't just your typical cupcakes. These ones used real lemons. I even got Jonathan to make me some candied lemon zest to decorate the tops, once they are frosted.

The cupcake thing took about two hours, and I had eaten far too much of the batter at the end to be at all awake and productive for the next several hours. So I went to bed.

So the bottom line question is why am I running away from my work, work I pay this university to do, and prefer to make cupcakes? It is because the priorities are shamefully askew.
