Last night my friend Arela and I went to go see Josh Ritter play at the Fillmore. What a great performance! Plus, we managed to meet him a couple times. I was surprised he allowed himself to be so accessible after the show. Basically, he was just wandering around the coat check area, bumping into people, as well as signing some CDs - it's a new single he's releasing.

We also got hugs from Josh Ritter. Arela got hugged several times, perhaps three. I left the concert wondering why. Why is it he is so congenial? I came home and did a web search to see if I could make sense of his notable patience and enthusiasm. This is what I found:

It turns out that Josh Ritter is famous for his easy goingness and availability to his fans, as well as his penchant for hugging. Still, it was a fun moment and a tremendous performance.
