Drat, we only got two trick-o-treaters

I guess our lack of treat-seekers might have to do with the fact that we do not have any cool jack-o-lanterns on our porch. I carved 2 this year, but none of them made it to our porch. One was for school, which got tossed into the dumpster the next day. The second one I carved last week at a carving party. I left it there because I couldn't find a place to strap it onto my 12 speed for the 3 mile ride home. I also forgot to put up the cool ghost door treatment that I bought last year at Walgreen's for $2.99. That thing will have to wait another year, I guess. I can't recall where I put it anyway.

I like Hall-o-ween because it is a holiday with a lot of hypenated O's. Jack-o-latern. Trick-o-treaters (yes, i know it's "or"), gh-o-ulies. Hmm, maybe this doesn't work like I thought it did... Anyway, I like the seasonal Hall-o-ween v-o-cabulary. It's a nice change-o-pace. And there is a whole mess-o-delicious candy treats for you, I, and the little ones that come-o-knockin' between 6 and 9 o'clock.

But it's almost o-ver. How very, very glum. The only thing to look forward to is a turkey-o-lurkey that will jump into my o-ven in a couple-o-weeks.

O-kay. Enough with the o's.

O-ver and out...
