Calls from far and wide - thank you

I'm on a roll.

In the last few days I've gotten a couple phone calls from the long-lost. The friends that school-life make impossible to reach out to.

My friend Kavya from NYC called me. We met way the hell back in 1997 when we were enrolled in a class on European International Relations(1789-1914) taught by one Aviel Roshwald at Georgetown University. I didn't stick around for the second semester of the class (1914-Present) but Kavya decided to stay my friend, anyway. Kavya always makes a great effort to reconnect. I try, too, but my efforts are sporadic at best. Thank you, Kavya. It's all for the best, really, considering a forthcoming trip to NYC would be best accomplished if I had an interesting place to stay. And I believe Kavya conveniently resides in Williamsburg.

Now I am just waiting to get a phone call from George Liston Seay. He's been abroad in England since Nov. 2. I am eager to hear about his trip aboard the Queen Mary and see if he'll be in DC when I am there in a few weeks.
