Television: not much on

I've been home for the last two days and working on some art projects where I can sit in front of the TV. I was flicking the remote around and came across the History Channel. Eight years ago, when I watched television pretty regularly, I recall the History Channel had some nice programming. Late at night you could always find something on about the how WW1 started, something about the Nazis, or a documentary about the Russian oligarchs. If you happen to be in a European or World History class, it was a good study aid.

No more. The History Channel is more like a Food TV wannabe. Or so on Tuesday nights anyway.

This show I am watching, Modern Marvels, is like that show Unwrapped. It is basically a documentary about snack food. First, they were doing cereals (which is more historic). Then they moved onto to chips. Next was snack cakes. Now they are on the ice cream industry. For God's sake, I just spent 7 minutes of my life learning how a Drumstick is made. This whole smorgasborg is making me want to live on saltines and club soda for the next week.

Oh, perfect, this next segment is on carbonated soft drinks...

I wonder if I can find an episode of Daria...
