Tom called me to say that he's set up a meeting with John at noon on Monday to talk about the counter proposal. According to Tom, John said "I hope I haven't offended anybody." I laughed out loud.

So the meeting will be me, Tom and John. We haven't even mentioned all of this to Paul yet since we know what his answer will be. I'm not exactly sure yet how to kick off this meeting. One thing I will do is get a better understanding of why John proposed what he did, and then try to convey why that's unacceptable.

The film that this has been compared to is The Fast & The Furious, so I loaned it from Netflix and watched it so that I can speak intelligently with John on Monday. It's not a bad flick, and therefore having that as a goal isn't a terrible one, but it could have been so much better! I want to make a movie that doesn't leave you wanting. I want a movie of the quality of Enemy of the State, which was well acted, written, had good twists and was paced extremely well.

Time will tell.
