I called producer John to pass along the name of a production coordinator looking for work. Since John is casting his film, I thought I'd pass on the info.

As John and I were talking, he mentioned that he met today with a UPM (=Unit Production Manager who does logistical work) that he prefers to work with. After they talked about John's current film, John pitched him FORK-TAILED DEVIL. The UPM happens to be an aviation buff, and made John drive from lunch to his house so he could get a copy of the script and read it. The UPM will probably get back to John tomorrow on his feelings behing FTD.

I mentioned to John about my first casting attempt, and not only does John know Ben's work, but thought it would be a very good choice.
