I took the first 15 pages of Spacetime, Inc. (my latest feature) to the Women in Film Valley writers group meeting. It passed, with flying colors, with only minor suggestions made that will enhance the immediate read.

This was the first group I've shown it to that has never heard about the story, concept, or anything about the film, so it was very valuable to see what they thought after the first 15 pages. True to a good action movie, they were a little lost as to exactly what was going on, but they didn't care. They were willing to wait a little for the full "here's what the deal is" explaination until we got through the first sequence. Hooked!

One person there, a director with her own production company, even told me that she wished she had more money to take the script. Tres cool! She did ask me to send her the complete script so that she could suggest some actresses for the lead role, and try to get someone attached.

I also made contact with the manager I met at the Expo and sent her two of our TV specs. Now I just need to wait and see if she's still willing to rep us.
