Starting off the new year on the "done" side:

  • Enter Spacetime in the Scriptapalooza contest;

    Done

  • Follow-up with agents not called and agents who read us;

    Half-done -- need to follow up with agents who read us. When I looked back at how little time I had for non-personal things over the holidays, I decided to wait until Monday for the "did you read the scripts yet" conversation.

  • Start another TV spec for staffing season;

    Jennise started the ball rolling -- we're batting ideas around for a Medium.

  • Get notes back to John on the pilot script;

    We'll see how he reacts!

In the "I didn't mean to do this" department:
  • Hook up with the science fiction gal from the table regarding Spacetime and discuss turning it into a series to pitch to her friend at SciFi;
  • Go to the Alameda Writers Group meeting on Saturday to re-connect with someone I know who's been working in TV drama as a staff writer (I think);
  • Meet with someone from the table who saw my profile and wants to talk to me about a project she's working on with the History Channel. Honestly, I don't know how she made the connection, but I'll be all ears;
  • Attend an industry screening of a short film by a director friend. It looks like he's doing a broad invite to mix with other industry folks -- it's worth a look at least.

Still to-do:

  • Follow-up with agents not called and agents who read us;
  • FINISH Cold Case and send to Managers;
  • Get a guest for the first Ice Cream Sunday;
  • Make sure managers send Spacetime to Silver Pictures;
  • Call more agents;
  • Follow up with agents called;
  • Call more agents;
  • Call Tom Cohen at Lightstorm to read Spacetime;
  • Call more companies to get Spacetime read, including SciFi, USA, TNT, Spike and movie companies as well.
