As designed by the system, screenwriting is a brutal test of patience. You need to get the right screenplay or pitch to the right person at the right company at the right time, with just the right combination of talent... screenwriting is like getting in a line with ten thousand people in front of you, shuffling forward occasionally, and waving your script madly at anyone who passes by, hoping someone will do something for you.

He wrote this in an essay about never waiting, and goes on to say "get out of line."

That's my weekend goal. Finish my Spacetime bible, and get out of line.
