Scripting has now come to a screeching halt, as the director just found out that he's on an approved list for SciFi Features. Which means that they will read treatments. If they like it, they'll quite probably hook him up with a production company. Which could mean money for writing intstead of writing for money. So now I'm working on condensing the 15 page outline into a 5 page treatment.
Also working on re-reading Main Street (the pilot) for some tweaking so that we can aggressively go out and get representation. In layman's terms it sucks not to have representation, since that's the first barrier that companies put in your face before reading material. Next week I'm out of town on a work-related training mission, so in the evenings, since I'll be stuck in my hotel room sans dogs, kid, dishes, laundry, weeding, and mowing to distract me, I hope to do a lot of writing. That's my August in a nutshell! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
