My wife is kindly buying me subscriptions to Flytrap and Alchemy (although Alchemy doesn't really have subscriptions yet, just three issues that may be purchased ahead of time). I'm really looking forward to reading those 'zines.

I have asked everyone in my family for bookstore gift certificates. I absolutely love walking into a bookstore with gobs of gift money to throw at books and literary magazines. My ideal retirement (some thirty-two years away unfortunately) would involve teaching creative writing at a small college and running a speculative fiction bookstore.

Of course, if my law practice takes off, maybe I'll get to do those things earlier than planned/dreamed. I have, after all, managed to start a webzine many years before I thought I would.
