Welcome back to my nearly axed journal. As you can see from my title, I've decided to continue my journaling, largely due to the comments made in connection with my last post. Thanks, Jenn, Joseph, and Andrew. It's nice to know that my entries are not simply sent into a readerless void. I feel a sense of community now that was lacking when I typed up my farewell entry yesterday. That's quite cool. So, it's back to our regular programming.

On the editorial front, I gave Jay Lake's story a last bit of proofing, which leaves me with nothing left to do except upload the Lone Star Stories issue on the 1st of February. What a pleasant feeling.

I actually wrote a story today -- a flash piece that I immediately submitted to All-Star Zeppelin Adventure Stories. I really doubt it will be accepted, but it was fun to write and read aloud, so I'm happy.

I did not receive responses from any of the markets I've submitted to today. The longest wait time right now is held by Ideomancer at 45 days, which is a little slow for them, but not bad by other market standards. I think I'll hear from them in a week or two. Kenoma should let me know about another story sometime soon as well.
