Yep. It's done. My second week of life as a law firm lawyer is behind me. It was tiring, stressful, and exhilarating. The last adjective surprises me because until now I've never enjoyed practicing law. I think it has to do with working for good people for regular-folks-sort-of-clients, instead of working for not-so-good people and the state.

On the writing end of things, I haven't had the energy to write this week, so I plan to do some this weekend. My Jack and Jill story was rejected for the second time, so I have to try and find a new market for it. My psycho elk story also needs a market. Ponder, ponder.

Submissions continue to dribble in for Lone Star Stories, but none of them have made me sit up straight at my laptop and say "Dang, what a story!" Someday, perhaps....
