I'm feeling better today -- no fever, just the remnants (runny nose, cough, etc.) -- so, I'm back at work. Thanks to everyone who left me "get better soon" comments. Y'all are very kind.

I'm getting lots of constructive comments from the Critical MS members on my Native American assassin tale. The group was definitely a good idea. The stories by other members are all strong, and we're sharing lots of creative ideas regarding writing and publishing.

I've asked to reprint in Lone Star Stories an interesting essay on why a particular author of prose and poetry writes science fiction. I hope he agrees to the reprint request.

I'm having trouble finding enough material to fill bimonthly issues of Lone Star Stories, so the guidelines may expand again. In what direction, I'm not sure.

Between work and illness, my writing time is vanishing fast. I need to designate some time write each night and on the weekends, but it's going to be difficult. Something isn't worth doing if it's not a challenge....
