I fiddled with some of my poems today and sent one of them back out in the cold of Market Submission Land. Otherwise, I didn't get much done on the writing front this weekend. I've been rather distracted by my two sales from Friday.

I received a really well written short story that was just too dark for Lone Star Stories, so I declined it with my reasoning and a couple of market suggestions. I also received an interesting vignette that was more or less mainstream -- the first non-genre submission I've received. I said no because I thought it needed to be fleshed out more and because it lacked speculative elements.

For some fun speculative literature, I recommend two online venues associated with my fellow writing workshoppers, Lon Prater and Dave Bowlin: Neverary and the SDO webzines.

That's about it for news. I've got a nastily busy day at the law firm tomorrow, so I don't think I'll be coming up for air until late tomorrow evening (if then). Good night!
