I have the pleasure of announcing that the short story, "Mysterious Ways," by Steven Utley will appear in the August issue of _Lone Star Stories_.

In other news, I wrote four haiku last night and shipped them off to Dreams and Nightmares. Today, I began my first short story in some time, which is close to passing the 1000 word mark already. I have an idea of where it's going, but it's subject to some major replotting.

My novel continues to languish, but I am reading Writing the Breakout Novel. I know. It doesn't count to read about writing.
