I'm back from a very enjoyable, weeklong vacation to Maine. I had no internet access, which meant an electronic pile of responses from various markets awaiting me upon my return. Among the rejections, I found an acceptance from AlienSkin Magazine of my flash piece, "The God of the Goblins." Woohoo! The story will appear in the August issue, and I'm looking forward to seeing it there in a week or so.

On the Lone Star Stories front, I need to take photos to accompany the stories and poems of the August issue this week. This will be challenging because some of the works don't lend themselves to photos. I'll see what I can manage.

Speaking of photos, my photo submission to Faniac was rejected yesterday. However, the editor made a point of telling me that she really liked it, but that it didn't fit the anime flavor she's looking for at this point. So, I might send it somewhere else or use it in Lone Star Stories if it works with one of the poems or stories.

I did absolutely no writing while on vacation and only began to feel the itch on the last day. So, I think I needed a little break. I'm looking forward to writing something in the next few days. I'm even pondering (yet another) novel.
