I've spent a lot of time this week getting the August issue of Lone Star Stories ready to go, and it's now done. All of the photos are taken and inserted into their respective literary works, the editing of the stories and poems is complete, and the web pages are all working. Now, I'll only have to copy everything into the public html folder on August 1st.

Despite the time spent getting L*S ready, I've managed to revise a few stories, write two new long poems (one needs a revision before heading out to find a home), and take care of critiques for three of my four writing groups. Yes, four. I decided to rejoin Critters, and I was invited to join a poetry writing group, all in addition to my regular writing group and my collaborative world writing group. If I find that I'm stretched too thinly, I'll probably let Critters go again.

On my submissions front, I've had lots of rejections this month, which makes sense with fifty plus stories and poems making the rounds. Due to the large number of responses I receive, I'm now posting response times in the Rumor Mill rejection/acceptance topic once a week. That way, I don't feel like I'm hogging topic space by posting several times a day.
