Issue No. 5 of Lone Star Stories is ready to go, and I'm looking forward to uploading it on the 1st of October. I'm really pleased with the fiction and poetry for this issue. I even like the photos I took for the issue.

In other L*S news, SFReader.com has graciously placed a banner advertisement (the same one sitting atop of my journal) for Lone Star Stories into its site's banner rotation. If you visit the site and hit the refresh button on your browser a few times, the L*S banner will appear. Very cool and very kind of them.

On the writing front, I've written a lot of poetry in the past week or two and enjoyed doing so. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm really a poet masquerading as a fiction writer . . . .

On the submissions side of things, I have 74 stories and poems out looking for homes, and I expect a handful of responses in the next couple of days.
