Have spent little time off-line for the last week. I had to keep the momentum of consecutive novel dares going. With the realization that I need community (re: friendly competition) to keep me going, I tracked down an on-line writer's workshop through responses to Rachel's journal (thanks, Rach). So on top of the influx of student papers demanding proof-reading this time of year, I've dedicated myself to doing the same thing in my leisure time--at least the topics are a bit more intriguing as the workshop is SF&F.
Sending out another short story tomorrow.

The wedding photos are now up on a web-page (I would say OUR web-page, but it's only pics right now). For those who haven't yet been subjected to them, they're here:

Still working on the video. If this Christmas provides bountiful enough, we might push for a DVD burner for the Mac so we can spruce up the footage even further.
Yes, I even managed to look girly. (I could get into the whole pedicure thing. Toes get a lot of air time in yoga.)

It gets dark here so early. The difference between San Diego and Vancouver is considerable. It feels like 8 and it's only 4. On the other end of it, I still can't get used to waking up in the dark.

We picked up Contact at a pawn shop. Jodie Foster keeps becoming my hero--ever since she played a tomboy on Candleshoe.

Marcel is almost done with the semester--one more final on Wednesday. He experienced three all-nighters this time, and all of them essay-related. There's something romantic sitting side-by-side at our respective laptops, tapping away until the wee hours. He's a bit more relaxed now--enough to do some more drawing on his Auriel picture (while I keep eyes glued to monitor). I've become more LCD than human.

Less than a week and we'll be Greyhounding it south to SD (36 hours on a bus).
