Just got back from rollarblading the Seawall. They're doing construction on it (no WAY will it be ready in time for the prime blading time, late spring). We had to detour it up the main road to the bluff. Once up there, we were glad for the detour. The point looks out over the Burrard Inlet across to North Van huddled at the base of the snowy-laden mountains and on out west toward the setting sun.

We raced home through English Bay, but by the time we hit Yaletown, it was dark. The architectural silliness that is Science World (a big silver ball at the east end of False Creek) looks slick at night all lit up.

Tomorrow there's a big peace rally starting at the other side of Burrard Bridge. I figure I'll skate over if it's not raining. Even if it is raining, I'll be there. Noam Chomsky is going to be speaking which I'm particularly looking forward to. What better way to start off spring?

Now that I think of it, it's interesting Bush started off his war at the onset of spring, interesting in a morbid way. What? Does GW have a pool of astrologers advising him that the caradinal forces of Mars-ruled Aries would the most opportune time to be exerting his martial power? sheesh. Anyway, gonna go rouse some rabbles.
