2002-03-06 1:13 PM Heart Attack Day Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Stunned So today has been weird in that every hour seems to have brought it's own (so far pleasant) surprises.
First thing this morning I talked to Squire on the phone and he told me Rabbit was having her inducement today. Sure enough, her journal agrees! So I jumped to it and hunted around the Web for some flowers to send. I didn't like most of the styles I saw and wished they had a way to custom make them. I ended up settling for a phone number of a florist in Camp Hill and asked them to deliver something with pink and purple. I don't even remember if the lady told me the price. Earlier I was talking with one of my co-workers and she mentioned to me that I might start thinking of her as one of my heroes. I asked her why and she said she had gone to HR to formally complain about one of our supervisors. From what she said the meeting was very productive and this supervisor (a very tiresome and disagreeable woman) will be facing disciplinary action. *small hidden grin* Then I got an e-mail about our up-coming schedule changes and it said that not only did they give up on the idea of forcing everyone into a 9 - 6 shift, but I got my first choice and I'm going to switch from working Tuesday through Saturday to Monday through Friday, like a normal person! w00-hoo! And finally I was settling into my desk from all this good news when one of the recruiters came by and clapped me on the shoulder, gestured behind her and said, "Richard's here." And walking with two other men was my friend Richard, who's been trying to get a gig here for nearly a year! WOW! Okey I have to get some work done, but I might just give into fits of giggles if soemthing else happens. Hopefully today will only be good and nothing will spoil my mood....Hopefully.
