Listening: "Revolver," Hooverphonic, "Henry Lee," Nick Cave, the Bad Seeds and PJ Harvey, "Sword of Islam," Delirium
I'd rather be drinking coffee
Desiring: lots money for KCRW
Aches and Complaints: hunger
Enjoying: relief from guilt

It's the intangibles, really. Of course the use of radio is pretty much intangible. If it isn't the volume is way too high.

I sent KCRW $50. I can't really afford it, at least not easily. I really wanted to send them something like $365 - their Angel level. It's sorta pointless to go for any higher, unless you really have more money than you know what to do with. But I'm officially saving my pennies for Korea so I can't be as extravangant as I would like to be.

In return my subscription to Newsweek will be renewed and I'll get a free copy of the new Massive Attack. I've heard a bit of it and I really like it. (But I'll never remember to get it at the store.)

In the past few days Molasses and I have been listening to KPCC while in the car. They don't stream online which pretty much sucks. Also their hosts seem much younger and don't seem to speak with the same confidence that I've come to expect from KCRW hosts.

At the very least their morning host(ess) murders the names of many prominent city council members. It's maybe elitist but I've gotten used to the KCRW morning host who is hispanic and can pronounce local names correctly.

Granted I've never made much of an attempt to listen to KPCC long enough to really get into the differences in its programming. I know they don't go so much into music as KCRW and they love taking a good long look at local issues, so I probably need to buckle down and listen more.

But there's some five more days before KCRW's winter pledge is overwith so...there is that.
