So, good things are afoot, and I'm glad of them. and since I have a moment (eventhough the connections is slow so I'm not sure this will post without a lot of effort, but we'll see) I thought I'd go through some of them. First and foremost, of course, is it truly seems like Saddam has been caught. While I'm still nervous that it might be a body double it's all over the news everyone else who should know better/more than me is totally convinced. Therefore I think it's him and this is Good News. Hopefully this will only bring good things to Iraqis and our boys over there. And I'm deeply pleased that he was caught alive with nary a shot fired or injury inflicted. Now we can start worrying about what will consititute an execution of justice. In other news I had a little tiff with my boyfriend but I think we set up a method of dealing with these misperceptions so we can talk them out instead of getting annoyed in our own private corners. The sunset tonight was astounding. I wish I'd had my camera with me so I could show you all. The clouds were low and the sun set behind the Los Angeles harbor, setting it all aglow and lighting up the clouds from underneath with brilliant gold and pink. Molasses and I took a walk in the fresh chilly air and took in the beautiful light displays. Tonight we are going to (probably) get in a gondola tour of the local harbor super-ritzy-expensive houses in the neighborhood known locally as Naples. they serve french bread, cheese and salami and we have to bring our own wine. Assuming the rain doesn't start again it should be nice. And on the work front, assuming I make it through the New Year, I'll get to be reassigned from my current manager to the lady who was my manager before (the same lady from a year ago). She's totally rad and very nice and still has her go-between who totally kicks ass. So I'm very excited about that. All in all, some very good things. }:> Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
