Listening: Rid of Me, PJ Harvey
I'd rather be: on the road
Enjoying: Endulgence bar

Been out the last two days fighting down a cold and trying to get a few things taken care of. Even when I'm not doing anything it's hard to get tedious work done when it's so...tedious. Currently it's mostly going through my Korea photos, finding good ones, cropping them and adjusting the brightness & contrast (Jenn's right, the white sky and pale ground often washed out a lot of color, even if the entire peninsula is an eye-popping green).

But it's slow work and hard to keep my focus. I took a two hour break to eat lunch and play Mah Jong and fight the urge to nap. I've been waiting for UPS all day long, answered someone else's phone twice but still nothing. Gah. Stupid UPS. I could have taken a nap *and* gotten my car washed. There's a chance I missed them despite my vigilance. But on balance it doesn't seem wise to run down to check until the very last minute.

I have a lot at work to get back to. They're reorganizing and they're supposed to tell me what came of my interview I phoned in on the day before we left. I'm nervous of that. Both for getting the job and not getting the job. I was the first interviewee which makes it very tough and scary. I think the women I interviewed with think I'm level headed and intelligent but that hardly indicates anything about being appropriate for the gig. Arg.

Also there's lots of tasks we said would be good to get on right before I left for vacation. There was stuff focusing on protocols for Spanish work (I'm not the only editor for that anymore! That's both cool and scary!) and stuff for my particular category.

Due to funding issues I've got to hold back a lot of plans for other projects - learning some German, more theatre in my little world, weekend travels.

Oh well. Korea was thoroughly interesting and Bat's Day kicked ass yet again, even if I didn't hook up with Richard this time. Though it may be the beginning of the end what with the election of a King and Queen (it's just silly and prom-like and kept tons of people from participating), but ahh it was fun.
