So... I'm doing things. Trying make the world a better place n'at. Things... require money. This is a plea for that money. For two different projects no less. If you have some money and a way to get it to me - please do! It's good for you! If you don't buy I'd actually put it to good use, don't send it. You'll just have to trust me that I mean what I say. Kay here goes: On Oct 23 I'm participated in the CROP Walk. The money goes to local kitchens as well as food aid efforts abroad. The foreign efforts don't just bring food to impoverished people in rural areas of the world, they also work to establish sustainability for those communities so families can prosper and aren't left to the whims of war and famine. This is a basic walk/sponsorship. Please give whatever you feel like sparing - $5, $10... whatever. I'll be walking the 10K route. If you would like to join me please let me know. You can walk with, and/or I can pick up a folder for you and you can raise some money as well. All donations need to be turned on the day of the walk. Also today, if all goes well (and I really hope I'm not jinxing this) I'll be putting down a deposit on an auditorium for a benefit festival I'm putting on to help out charities aiding Katrina disaster victims. The deposit itself is going to cost me a bit and then the rental fee is looking it could clean me out. This me flat out begging: If you can spare a chunk of cash - any amount is helpful but I really am hoping for chunks in the $50 and up range (hundreds, really, but I don't want to pressure anyone, money is money) - it would help me out in make sure the festival goes on without a hitch. If you don't know my email address poke me over AIM (razrangel) or Yahoo!IM (nadianismo). Any and all help would be appreciated. If you have time to donate but no cash, believe me there's plenty you can do to help! We'll need help on the night of the show...but that's definately putting the cart way ahead of the horse. thanks again... Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
